If you experience problems with fail2ban .
If you are on e.g host 10.0.0.5 and do:
ssh 10.0.0.5
# ssh hangs now
and the ssh hangs, then fail2ban can be the issue.
The quick fix is to do :
fail2ban-client set addignoreip 10.0.0.5
