Cluster ProxySQL and HAProxy on same nodes

Hello,

Is it possible to use same nodes running for cluster ProxySQL and cluster HAProxy (node-ha-1 and node-ha-2) ? And deployment is using default installation by ClusterControl.

ProxySQL for Galera cluster (node-msql-3, node-msql-4 and node-msql-5)

HAProxy for Postgresql cluster (node-psql-6, node-psql-7 and node-psql-8

 

What would be the best practice?

  Hi,

  Yes, it is possible.

  As ProxySQL and HAProxy are deployed by default using different ports (ProxySQL 6032/6033 and HAProxy 5432/5433) there is no conflict between them, so you can deploy both services in the same node.
