best design approach for NDB
i have 4 bare metal to setup the clusting for mysql
each one have 512 gig ram and 3 tb ssd hard disk
for the NDB i need 2 management server some data node and some mysql server
i can create vms on bare metal but i dont know how much ram is required for monitoring , management data node and mysql server
for example if i have to put one data node and one mysql server on each bare metal what is the best dividing of 512 gig of ram and 3 tb of hard?!

Hi,
A simple rule of thumb is to allocate the majority of the resources to the data nodes, and the number of data nodes must have always come in pairs (2, 4, 6, 8 data nodes). In a fraction of 10, I can give a simple estimation to allocate 5/10 hardware resources to data nodes, 3/10 to MySQL nodes and 2/10 to management nodes.
The best practice for resource dimensioning commonly requires us to understand your application requirements, budget, anticipated workloads, capacity planning, assessment, etc. We do offer consulting jobs and if you are interested, feel free to reach out to our sales team at sales[at]severalnines.com.
