Switchover hooks not working

Hello

I'm implementing failover and switchover scripts for MariaDB asynchronous replication failover. The failover hooks work fine. But the switchover hooks do not execute when doing slave promotion to master.

The hooks are bash scripts and configured in the cluster configuration in /etc/cmon.d/cmon_X.cnf

  Allright.

  Could you also elaborate what else constitutes as switchover other than promoting slave to master? Do changing replication master execute any of the switchover hooks if present? Do rebuilding replication slave from another master also execute any of the switchover hooks?

  Hi,

  The switchover is the process of promoting a slave to the master while master is healthy and running. Basically, it's all about the "Promote Slave" job.

  Unfortunately, we don't have a public bug database therefore you cannot really follow it. What you can do is to track the changelog where all included fixes are mentioned. Also, feel free to open a ticket with us and make sure you point to this conversation. We can let you know via the ticket when the issue will be solved.
