ClusterControl backup for galera cluster

I will be evaluating CC for galera cluster and have a question.

How does the backup solution take into account the node failover?

Let's say we have a 3 node galera cluster and backup runs from node-1, now if node-1 goes down does it automatically failover to node-2? If so, how does this happen, is there a delay etc.?

  Hi John,

  I believe ClusterControl performs backup strictly as what has been scheduled. There is no failover at the moment.

  Let me get back to you shortly as I confirm this with the dev team.

  I can confirm to you that no backup failover at the moment. I've filed a feature request to the dev team regarding this.
