Maximum number of nodes?

What is the maximum number of nodes allowed for a Galera cluster?  

 

Not that i actually want to max it out but the limitation is not listed anywhere.

  Hi,

  It is hard to give an exact number. The largest i have seen is 9 nodes, but the most common is 3 nodes.

  It also depends on the type of application. Read-mostly applications can generally sustain a larger number of nodes.
