iostat in CMON
I have CMON 1.1.36 monitoring a 3-DC, 9-node Galera cluster - everything appears to be working with the exception of the iostat output under the MySQL Servers display. "Overview" and "top" work - but not iostat.
Controller cnf file has "monitored_mountpoints" set to /dev/vda2.
I added this parameter to one of the agent cnf files, same as above, but no luck in getting iostat to display for that host in CMON.
Checked the cmon.disk_stats and cmon.diskdata tables - they are empty.
Do I have something misconfigured? Or is there a missing event / process which needs to be running IOSTAT?
Many thanks in advance.
monitored_mountpoints is a bit misleading, perhaps it shouid be named monitored_datadirs.
E:g, set it to
or whatever datadir you have for the mysql server. You can specify several directories, just comma separate them.
Set this on all agents and restart them.
Thanks Johan - updated that on all 9 agents and restarted but to no avail - iostat still not being collected.
Running iostat -kx 60 on all agent host's command line works without issue - just wondering where else to look to see what's going on with cmon and iostat - any suggestions?
