sudo: a password is required
Controller v: 1.4.1.1856
MySQL Galera Cluster
(Community Edition)
Ubuntu 14.04 on all nodes and controller.
It looks like cmon updated on our system last night (actually I thought auto-updating was disabled - sigh). As of shortly after midnight (May 16), every hour our nodes and load balancers send us an email from the auth.log :
SUBJECT: *** SECURITY INFORMATION FROM <host> ***
<hostname> : May 16 08:06:43 : <user> : a password is required ; TTY=pts/0 ; PWD=/home/bwadmin ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/bin/true
It appears to me that the sudo password isn't getting passed through with the command.
Any one else see this since the latest controller update? Trying to figure out a work-around to either a) stop the notifications for this particular log entry or (b) preferably fix the script/function that is running and not sending the password through
Thanks for any input,
Geoff

We're also getting errors in cmon.log since last night (much more often than once per hour):
May 15 23:38:29 : (WARNING) 172.16.0.10: Could not get partition infos: remote (172.16.0.10) retval: 1 command: 'for f in / /run /run/lock /run/shm /run/user /var/lib/ureadahead/debugfs/tracing; do echo %f$f; stat --file-system --format="%b %a %s" $f; done 2>/dev/null' reply: %f/
So I now need to figure out what script is trying to get the partition information and see what has been broken there. I don't think these are related, other than it seems to have all started last night, and I believe this is due to the controller software update.

Hi Geoff,
Can you generate an error report as described in this page? Then, create a support ticket and attach the generated tarball in the ticket. The error report consists of sensitive information so we recommend you to submit a support ticket instead.
